Ayleen couldn’t help but chuckle at his words, the tension in the room easing slightly. “I’ll keep that in mind,” she said, a faint smile tugging at her lips.
“I’ll make the arrangements for your travel,” Ibrahim said, reaching for his phone.
“There’s no need, Uncle,” Ayleen interjected, shaking her head. “Everything is already taken care of. My flight is tonight.”
Ibrahim paused, lowering his phone as he gave her a hesitant nod. “Does Murat know you’re leaving?”
Her expression faltered, a flicker of anxiety crossing her face. “No… not yet.”
He frowned, his worry evident. “Then don’t make the mistake of leaving without telling him. You know how unpredictable he is. He might just find a way to stop the plane from taking off.”
At that, both of them burst into laughter, the sound filling the warm room. For a moment, the weight on Ayleen’s shoulders felt lighter.
