Chapter 176
As they stepped off the plane, a sudden wave of nausea gripped Ayleen, twisting her stomach into an uncomfortable knot. She clutched Murat’s hand instinctively, her fingers digging into his palm as she fought the dizziness washing over her.
Murat, mid-conversation with Mir—who had come to welcome them back, immediately stopped, his full attention shifting to her.
“Ayleen?” His voice was laced with concern.
She inhaled deeply, blinking away the light-headedness before forcing a small nod.
“I’m fine. Just… feeling a bit queasy.”
His frown deepened. Without another word, he turned to Mir, muttering something under his breath. Mir nodded before stepping away, and before Ayleen could question anything, Murat’s arm wrapped around her waist, guiding her towards a different car than the one Uncle Ibrahim had already settled into.
Ayleen looked over her shoulder, confused. “Aren’t we supposed to go with Uncle Ibrahim?”
