Her ankle, still sore from the restraint, gave out. The man grabbed her wrist. His grip was like iron.
“No! Let me go!” she screamed, thrashing wildly.
She bit his hand, scratched his arm but he didn’t flinch. Her body fought with all its might, but the man’s calm expression never shifted.
Behind him, the sleazy man arrived, panting and holding his bruised face.
“Boss…” he muttered, bowing slightly.

“Get the syringe.” The suited man’s voice was cold, emotionless.
“No! Please!” Ayleen kicked and screamed.
The man didn’t respond.
With a final effortless motion, he plunged the injection in her shoulder.
The night air faded.
