Selina mentally cursed herself; all her plans were going to wash down the drain if she had blurted out the truth.

Taking a minute or two, she tried her best to compile her turmoil in the folder of her mind. Composing herself, she pulled back a bit, looking at Murat with teary eyes.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to do that… it is just my family…” she trailed her finger up and down her chest.

Murat placed a small peck on her puckered lips. “You don’t have to, love! I would have never asked if I had known it would ruin your mood!” He looked apologetic. Sure, his investigator had laid the details bare about Selina, yet he wanted to know her personally and emotionally.

“It’s your right to know about the person you are dating.”

Selina smiled and nuzzled her nose into his chest. They stayed like that for a few minutes before she pulled back and looked at the table. The food was getting cold.

“Our dinner got ruined!” she pouted.
