Chapter 74

Murat sat in the boardroom, his mind barely registering the presentation in front of him. The top management was reporting a steady decline in profits and investor contracts. Already disturbed by Selina’s recent behavior, the additional stress only heightened his tension.

The meeting concluded on a sour note. Murat poured himself a drink, trying to drown his frustration. His assistant, Mir, briefed him on the reasons behind the decline.

“It’s primarily due to the majority of our shares being tied up in miss Selina’s company and also…” Mir hesitated for a second. “We’re not securing enough contracts since separating from Ibrahim Khan, who has started a new conglomerate, Khan Industries.”

The mention of his father’s name brought a twinge of regret. Things had been so much simpler before. Now, everything felt tangled and chaotic. With Berat out of the country and his mind overwhelmed, an idea struck him. He glanced at his watch and smiled, a plan forming.
