Murat woke up feeling like pebbles and rocks were being thrown at his head. The sunlight streaming directly onto him only made his condition worse. He shook his head several times to clear his senses and found himself lying on the bed in his office attire. Cursing himself, he thought he must have overdrunk and slept in his office. It was likely that Mir had brought him back, and Selina, being Selina, mustn’t have paid much attention.
As he went to take a shower, snippets of him driving a car, the Khan mansion, and Ayleen started flashing through his mind, making him grab his head.
“What the hell!” he shouted in frustration.
“Good morning, Master,” the head maid greeted him as soon as he reached the dining room.
“Bring me some Advil,” he ordered grumpily, taking his cup of coffee from her hand and glancing at the empty seat next to him. It had been three days since he had seen Selina.
