Ayleen abruptly stood, scratching the chair against the floor.
“I am a doctor, Uncle, not a magician,” Ayleen said, her voice laced with disbelief and frustration. “I am the last person on this planet who can help your son.”
Ibrahim Khan’s sad smile deepened, and he looked at her with a tenderness that only made her chest tighten further.
