Chapter 66. Smiling at the Face of Death

Several Weeks Ago at the Place of the Skull

“Father, do something!” Enzo cried out.

The vibration, the shaking, and the weird buzzing sound are becoming unbearable.

General Ail managed to crawl to Zyle. He brought his mouth closer to his ear and yelled. “Grab me!” He turned and gestured to his son, who was standing beside Zyle and he yelled out like he did with Zyle, “Grab me!”

Enzo didn’t wait for his father to repeat himself. He quickly took hold of his arm as Zyle did.

General Ail raised his wrist toward his humongous eyes. He was wearing a wristwatch. It wasn’t just a wristwatch but a teleportation device Generals often wear in case of a situation where they can’t handle or barely escape.

He lets the device scan his left eye with a green laser. The device beeped twice and illuminates General Ail with glowing green light. The green light transferred to Zyle and Enzo as they all disappeared into thin air.
