Chapter 67. Grieving Soul

Somewhere in the woods

“We should continue before more Aliens show up!” Rufus said, stretching his hand toward Becky to help her up.

For the past few days, they have been encountering Aliens trying to kill them. Their best guess is that Ail sent his troopers after them to retrieve them and bring them back to the Arena. They had no idea the place has been destroyed and all creatures in it dead, except for General Ail that escaped with his son, and Zyle the prime minister.

Becky took hold of Rufus’s hand and let him pull her up. “Where exactly do you have in mind we should go?”

“I have no idea, but anywhere far from the woods will be fine.”

Though Rufus has served as a cop, he never liked woods. His hate for nature is a simple logic that he believes nature hates him. While he was a kid, during his first camping as a boy scout, he was bitten by a snake. This was the chief reason why he turned down his father’s recommendation for him to serve in the US Army
