I nod in agreement, my gold would fit with his black. "I know you love high slits but since it's gonna be an official event, you can go for a long flowing gown without slit, it's appropriate for an occasion like this."

Going in line with his instruction which matches with what is appropriate for an occasion like is coming, I search through the commercial wardrobes and finally settle on a long gold shiny gown, hugging my shape down to the hips and flowing from here down.
