For a few moments I debated on whether or not to go and speak to Sienna.

I debated on whether to assure her that things were going to be alright as well, but she did not have to worry, that she did not have to put my mother’s words in her mind.

But after she decided to go to her room, she agreed to go and take care of our daughter. I was thankful that I did not need to do so. The last thing that I would have wanted was to have such a conversation, especially when I knew that my mother needed me most when my father was fighting for his life.

My chest ached and the sight of him being shot by the bullet played in my head on repeat.

Giovanni was playing a dangerous game and I knew that now this was one that he was not going to be able to get out of easily. Lysandra was going to pay, just like her father. If she had any role in this, which I assumed that she did, she was just going to pay for it.

The infirmary was quieter than I expected.<
