Damon
The door to my office slammed shut behind me, the echo cutting through the silence like a damn bullet.
My blood was still boiling, mother’s words, Sienna’s defiance, her voice, her stubbornness, that slap she almost gave me. The kiss. God, the kiss.
I ran a hand down my face, dragging a sharp breath into my lungs as I leaned over the desk, gripping its edge so tightly the wood creaked under my fingers.
I gripped on it for life, as if it was going to be the one thing that grounded me, that kept me sane, that reminded me that I was an alpha. But I knew that I was not going to be. It was only a matter of time before I broke the desk completely.
What the hell was happening to me?
Before I could even calm myself down, the door opened.
I didn’t need to look to know who it was. The sharp inhale. The tension in the air. The quiet defiance. Her scent which was to my nostril snapping my wolf, making him both angry and intrigued.
