Chapter 16. Spilling the Secret

After the dance with Damon, I was in light spirits, and I felt truly happy. Dancing away my worries was one activity I’ll always enjoy; maybe coming to the club with him wasn’t such a bad idea.

Settling down in my seat, I signaled a waiter to bring more tequila for me as I had emptied my glass earlier. Soon, my order arrived, and I poured a glass for myself. I was not someone who enjoyed drinking, but I just wanted to loosen up a bit that night. I mean, what’s the point of being so uptight in the club?

I heard footsteps approaching, and I raised my head to look up, thinking it was Damon, but to my surprise, it was an old friend I hadn’t seen in a long time. I looked away as I wasn’t really in the mood for a chitchat, but it seemed he knew I was the one anyway, as he soon approached me, settling down on Damon’s seat.
