Chapter 197. Terrible Mistakes 2

Dominics POV 

They were on me in a few seconds, they tackled me to the floor and landed several punches on me, making me bleed through my mouth and my nose. I wasn’t healing because of the wolfsbane, they took it as an opportunity to beat the crap out of me, breaking a few of my ribs. From the corner of my eyes, I can see them injecting king Ashford with a potion and I knew that they were administering the cure to him, flushing out the wolfsbane from his body.

The poison, coupled with the beating made me as weak as hell, I still tried to get up, but I got knocked down by his warriors. The more I struggled to get up, the more I got beaten up by the lycan warriors. They forced me to stay down while they helped king Ashford to get back on his feet. He stood up for a few minutes, looking as good as new. The two blades I stabbed him could have taken him out If he wasn’t using black magic to protect himself. But I can’t kill him no matter what I do.
