Chapter 136. The Voice of the WerePeople

I rushed outside the tenth to see Ray and four of his men waiting under a huge willow tree. They are all wearing old, thin clothes despite the cold weather and I know they hadh made Ray a little uncomfortable. Jonas must have gotten the message and Ray flinched when the vampire suddenly rose from my shadows like a phantom materialized in the darkness. 

“I’m glad you came out,” I uttered to the vampire and he just gave me one disliking look, hating that he had to reveal himself to Ray who covered his nose from the vampire’s sharp sweet scent. shifted and traveled from Tyrell to this place.

I stopped a few meters away from him, wary enough not to get too close to think it might be another assassination attack. Knowing that he knows me as being too welcoming and trusting makes it more troubling but I am not that kind of person now. And whatever reason he has, I hope it’s not bad news about Claire and my child.
