“Where are you taking me?”
Jonas led me out of his enormous room while holding my hand so gently. He expected that I would be scared to roam in this place I was not familiar with. To be honest, I thought vampires lived in old, dilapidated, and dark palaces, always lingering in the dark and the shadows, wearing old-fashioned clothes. But I was completely wrong. This place was much more elegant than Tyrell Manor; the furniture was well crafted and expensive-looking, the vases and other decorations looked so aesthetic and exquisite and anyone would get embarrassed to step onto the carpet for looking so lush and immaculate.
No matter how big the place was, I couldn’t see any speck of dust, like everything there was dustproof. And I thought that because they had this incredible speed and lightweight body, cleaning this whole palace was just a piece of cake for the maids serving there.
