Chapter 170

Mia’s POV

"So you later came back to your senses, to your consciousness, sorry." She quickly apologized. "You have been unconscious until this moment you just got up."

"Why didn't you revive me?" As I dropped this, I began feeling like a fool and an ungrateful human being. I saw her take away her fade from me, it was a little bit tight, no longer smiley. "Please I'm sorry, I'm sorry," I muttered, taking my hand to bring it back to me. "You've been so kind to me even when it's not your obligation. I don't expect you to revive me, it was a slip of the tongue."

"Don't worry, I understand." She held me tighter, pressing her body back to mine. "I would have revived you but I wasn't alone then, I had a co-guard here, she has been transferred to another duty. I was too afraid to make a move, being my superior, she could report me and I'd be sacked. Tomorrow, I'm gonna be transferred to another duty but I can always sneak and visit you as long as I'm in this prison."
