Chapter 14

Claire's POV

It was nice that it wasn't too crowded or too small. The walls were a deep "crack of dawn" blue, and one wall had a dark grey brick fireplace with an oak shelf above it.

A large wooden desk was tucked into a corner near the fireplace. In the middle of the room, a king-sized bed with four posts took up most of the space. The bed was made up with black silk sheets and a fluffy grey comforter. Both of these things gave the room a lovely touch.

After taking a long, slow breath, I used my hands to rub my face and neck. I really needed to take a shower before I could even try to relax. Then, I went to the place Demon said was where the closet was, and I opened the door to it. At once, I opened my mouth wide. I said out loud, "What the hell!"
