Claire felt a thrill of excitement as it flickered in her eyes. “Really? Thank you, Demon. I really appreciate that.” Demon gave her a warm smile. “No problem. Now come on, let’s go get some breakfast.”

Claire nodded her head in agreement, and the two of them started to walk down the stairs. Finally, they reached the dining room, where their breakfast was ready and laid out on the table, waiting for them; it looked like so damn delicious. Claire and Demon took out their seats and began eating. After a while, Hunter finally entered the dining room and looked furious. ‘What else is new? Claire screamed in her mind.

Hunter didn’t even take the time to direct a single glance at Claire; he simply marched past her, found his seat, and started to consume his meal. He was tense, irritated and on edge, like a ticking time bomb.
