Hunter's POV

As soon as I spotted my brother, I made a beeline for him. "Have you seen Claire?" I inquired with a concerned expression plastered all over my face.

"Yeah, she just sprinted out of that door a minute ago, looking rather distressed. What went wrong? I was wondering if she was okay. Demon asked me this question with worry in his voice.

Because I needed to find Claire and explain everything to her, I chose not to respond to him. Instead, I bolted outside and made a beeline for the nearest wooded area, her scent growing ever more potent as I approached.

My wolf began to pace, showing signs of eagerness to be set free, but I was aware that releasing him in this condition would not end well for anyone involved.
