Claire's POV

I took a big breath in. "I am neither yours nor Hunter's. I am his partner, not his property. I won't go back with you because I no longer belong there. I now belong with the Hallow pack and with Hunter, the person I love and with whom I chose to spend the rest of my life." I answered in a calm way.

Even though I don't want to say anything, I thought Emil should know the truth. I didn't want to hurt him, but I felt like I had to tell him this.

As his grip on my hair and hands got much tighter, his chest gave off a scary growl. Emil said, "Fine, but if I can't have you, no one else will." He pushed me against the tree even more, and the bark cut into my skin, making me hiss in pain.

"'Ahh!!!" I turned my head around and hit him in the nose.
