The space suddenly became unusually quiet, and everything around Kattie seemed to slow down, as if she couldn’t hear anything anymore. She was still trying to recall her memories, but it had been too long, and for her, only the past with Jasper was deeply etched in her heart.
Not hearing her speak, thinking that she had forgotten all the memories between her and him, his gaze dropped, and he remained silent. Kattie didn’t know whether or not those memories were important, but she felt the change in his expression, and it made her nervous.
