Chapter 13. Unexpected

My laps are done and I am breathing like someone who escaped death. I gulp down a water bottle as fast as I can, enjoying the rich taste of water.Some of it runs down the side of my lips and wipe it before it creates a trail. I am sprawled on the ground with no care in the world, as enjoy this little time before I have Beta Aiden dragging me a cross the field and forcing me to train with the others.

“ Reed!” Beta Aiden shouts from where he is standing.

I groan out in frustration. The last thing I want is to be here. I take awfully slow to get up to irritate him even further.

He stamps over to where I am and sits on the grass next to me. I glance over at his side before I look somewhere else to the mountains that surround the pack.

“ I know you don’t want to be here, my brother told me that you wanted me to remove your name from the list but that is never happening.” He speaks to taunt me further.

I don’t turn to look at him, everything spilli
