Chapter 58. Warning

It's Sunday afternoon when I knock on Mandy’s door. She answers the door all to quickly squealing, she hugs me, the hug isn't right as her belly restricts her.

“ The pup has really grown.” I comment looking at her belly. “ When are you due?”

“ Three to four weeks. Come in.”

I enter her home and it's as cozy as it was the last time I was here. It feels like such a long time has passed due to the many events that have happened over the past days.

“ I can see that your voice is back!” She squeals once more. I laugh, my lips turning up in a soft smile.

“ Yeah…” my reply is short. My cheeks warm up when I remember exactly what transpired when my voice returned.
