I woke up with a smile on my face as my heart swelled as so many emotions filled me. The feeling of contentment and peace was the main one of them.

Killian, who was asleep by my side, had his arm wrapped around my waist, and I couldn’t help but find myself feeling small in comparison to him. The man could easily crush me if he wanted to, and yet, I knew that he was treating me as a precious jewel that he was afraid of scratching. It was something that amazed me especially after all the hell that I went through in my life.
