By the time the door to our room clicked shut behind me, my body felt like it had been wrung out.
Every breath was heavier than it should’ve been, and my stomach churned again as if it was trying to remind me of the moment I’d thrown up earlier. I’d rinsed my mouth, splashed water on my face, tried to act normal. But no matter how hard I try to deny it, I was still fatigue. I was exhausted. And I didn't know what to do about it. I had to take care of my duties and the last thing that I needed was to be delayed because I was tired.
