Chapter 239

Really, Haven wondered, where had she ended up. Her jaw dropped a little as she gaped at the place in awe but at the same time, she felt really uncomfortable. She didn’t know what sort of place she found herself in.

The street was bustling with people who smiled and greeted one another as though they knew everyone there.

As they walked on, she peered at people’s faces hoping she could maybe see Avena. It was possible she also ended up here if she wasn’t at the desert but her hopes died down when she couldn’t find her. She didn’t know anyone there.

Some of the people looked at Haven with a strange gaze wondering who she was. They had never seen her around before. They didn’t stare at her for long though, and Haven felt grateful for that. Most of them wore similar woolen clothes like the boy did and even had woolen sweaters or a lambskin coat to keep them warm from the cold.

“ Brother Kace has gone over to visit our sister who lives over there.” He pointed to a
