Chapter 43
Third-Person POV
“Help me, Xerxes!” She screamed into the device. Her shaking fingers clutched onto the phone with every ounce of strength remaining in her tired body.
Her baby blue eyes terrifyingly looked over her shoulder at wolf beasts lunging after her, eyes red and raven fur. Her legs gave up on her, as she clutched her growing stomach with her other hand. Praying and hoping to escape the inevitable. A feeling of dread, panic and anxiety clasped her.
“Pick up! Pick up! Please!” she shouted as the tears dripped down her porcelain skin.
“No!”
“No! Please leave me! P-plea-“
Fear was a dark presence on the edge of her vision. It was like a spot of blackness that hides in the corner of her eyes. She turned to look at it, hide yet it stared directly at her, and then it disappeared. She was being chased.
From the shadows came a wolf, yet he seemed like no ordinary predator. He moved to block her path, staring with almost beas
