Katarina's POV

I had expected to see the shock on her face, and probably some happiness too cause we hadn’t seen each other in a long time. After my brother’s death, my whole pack was massacred. Remembering them caused a sharp pain to erupt through my chest but I shrugged it away. Past was passed. I couldn’t gain anything dwelling in it any longer.

Aurora was pregnant the last time I saw her, and now she was carrying a small baby between her arms whose face was embedded in her neck. The child had sparkling distinct brown eyes unlike his or her father or mother and hairs resembling Aurora’s.
