Selena’s POV
Two years have passed since the battle for our freedom. A lot has happened since then, and more is to come in the near future.
We still start the day with the same sounds, hammers on the mill bridge, kids racing the long hallway, boots in the yard, but somewhere between the soup and the schedules we added things I didn’t know I wanted, a twice-monthly market where witches bargain louder than wolves and a blood bank in the old clinic my dad swore would “taste like duty and nothing else.” The culvert still sings the right note. The seam under the ravine still lies quiet as a sleeping spine.
And the pack thrives.
Storm calls it plenty and stretches himself long and smug in Caleb’s mind, and across our soulbond.
