Chapter 144
Arielle snuck out of her mansion the next day. She had with her, her bow and arrow and had worn clothes suitable for the occasion. She was so eager to learn about hunting. She had read many books about the subject and she had been fascinated by the idea but her father would not listen to any talk that involved hunting. He allowed her to practice shooting arrows and even guns with glass bottles but that was it.
Her parents were still out of town and she had come to the conclusion that the guards that kept the gates of her mansion were either incompetent or could not recognize her if not they would never allow her leave the grounds. Or maybe they thought escaping the mansion was the last thing she would think of.
She waited patiently for Tamar by the pond and fifteen minutes later, she was graced with the crunching of grass underneath her feet that told her Tamar had come.
