Camilla’s POV

“Hmph, Alpha,” Arielle calls out, getting a quicker reaction from me because I now respond quicker to Alpha than my actual name. “Can I have my baby now?” She asks, holding her hand’s out.

My gaze shifts from the baby to her empty arms, “Huh,” I ask, that one stubborn brain cell refusing to process the fact that I agreed to give her the baby, she saved the baby, she wanted her when I was too scared to have her, when I wanted to get rid of her.

“The baby, remember you agreed to let her keep it instead of suffocating her with a pillow soon as she was born.”

I choke, swallowing the huge lump that forms on my throat. I look at Arielle, dropping the paper and putting the baby in her arms. I feel empty again, I don’t like this feeling, it’s worse than when I left her father, it left a hole in my heart but I tossed it away. I don’t know if I can fill the emptiness that giving Lauriana away to Arielle has left.

“Thank you, I’ll get going now but I
