Santiago’s POV
Two years later.
My life is a mess, I thought I had full control of it, that was until Annalise showed up in the picture. Every day starts with thoughts of her and ends with those of her too. I’ve spent too much time thinking of her, observing her and pursuing her that I think I’m obsessing over her to the point where I need professional help. She can’t stand, and it’s disheartening to know she can barely pretend to like me for the sake of both our parents.
Last year she graduated, an honors student and I must say, I have never been prouder of anyone in my life, Adrian excluded because he is whom I am most proud of in this life. On her graduation day, I didn’t go. I declined the invitation, making an excuse because I didn’t want to ruin her day for her but her father, a very convincing man, dragged me there.
I, of course, excused myself shortly after extending my congratulations and presenting her my gift to which she didn’t take a liking. Sinc
