“Amelia? Are you following what I’m saying?” To grab my attention, she clapped her hands in front of my face and snapped them. “You are not paying attention!”

I tried to chuckle, but my face was already coated in a thick layer of sweat. Because of this, the tears that were falling from my eyes and the sweat that was running down the sides of my neck were almost mixing together.
