Chapter 21. Nikita’s Cousin

Amelia’s POV

Nikita has been gone for close to ten minutes at this point, and she has not yet returned. I was able to examine the various dishes that were laid out on the table and served. I’m also used to looking at the labels on the drinks that are brought to us here. Even if I tried, I would not be able to count all of the servants that walk by every so often.

Everyone is giving me thoughtful glances, which led me to believe that this behavior and attitude were a bit strange. I just shrugged my shoulders and ignored it. Maybe they are just like that if they look at their guest for the first time.
