Adrianna’s POV
“Is there a problem?” I asked when he paused, staring into space.
His brow shot up as he averted his gaze to me. “No, not at all,” he said with a smile.
My mouth formed an O, then he tucked my hand into his as we walked out of the room. I sighed heavily as some of the maids’ and guards’ greetings echoed while we strode with regal grace down the corridor.
In the dining hall, dish after dish crowded the table. I swallowed as I withdrew my hand from his, moving toward the plates of food.
I blinked hard. “It’s the prawn soup,” I murmured, shifting my eyes to Kael.
He smiled. “You don’t like it?” he asked as he moved closer to me.
A short laugh escaped my lips. “I love it,” I murmured.
I drew the chair out and sat on it, while Kael sat beside me.
I didn’t even wait for him. My hand had already moved on its own, grabbing the cutlery, then suddenly my hand froze midair.
