Chapter 141. A Prophecy?
Adrianna’s POV
We were almost at the doorstep of his room when I glanced at him, “What did you want to talk about?” I asked, he halted and faced me, the distance between us suddenly feeling too small.
Something unreadable tightened his expression as his eyes bored into mine. “Let’s talk inside,” he said as he pushed the door to his room open.
My eyes darted around the now-cleaned room. All pieces of broken glass had vanished as though they never existed before.
My teeth caught my lower lip. Oh, how I missed this room. The nostalgic feeling clung to my chest as my heart tightened.
He led me towards the familiar couch we always sat on, then he sat beside me. His hand was still holding mine.
The room stayed silent until he sighed heavily. “I’m sorry,” he whispered with his eyes on our intertwined fingers.
“I’m sorry you had to go through so much pain for my own selfish interest,” he added with a quick glance at me.
