Kael’s POV
My gaze darted to Adrianna. I watched her unravel in silence, her eyes jumping from face to face and her lips parting as soft gasps escaped her.
I swallowed as I shifted my attention. Damn, I needed to focus. I should have been the one talking about all this, but I guessed it was better if Ella talked about it.
“Elder Theron, what do you have to say?” Ella asked suddenly, staring at Theron.
I saw Theron’s lips trembling as though he did not want to speak. “I believe you know the consequences of not speaking?” I said aloud.
Immediately, Theron took a loud gulp as his eyes shimmered with fear.
“Please forgive me, Alpha, he forced me into this,” Theron said as he pressed his forehead to the floor.
I raised one of my eyebrows. “Seems you don’t want to talk,” I said in a calm voice, then nodded at Marcus.
