Chapter 116. Who Was She?
Alexander’s POV
I stared at the unconscious woman in my arms, trying to make sense of what just happened. She’d called me by name—my real name—before collapsing. But how? We’d never met before.
Had we?
Something about her seemed vaguely familiar, like a dream I couldn’t quite remember. But that was impossible. I never forget a face, especially not one as striking as hers.
“Fuck,” I muttered, carrying her to the bed.
As I laid her down, her arms locked around my neck with surprising strength, pulling me down with her. Our faces were suddenly inches apart, her breath hot against my lips.
“Alexander...” she whispered, eyes half-lidded and dilated. “Don’t leave me again.”
