My face scrunched up into a frown as I listened to what Devon said. What was wrong with him? “I saw a girl in one of the rooms, the maids acknowledged her as their Princess and... Franklin was so worried about her too. His concern was genuine,”

“I’ve known Franklin longer than you do, Bella. I know everything about him and I would have known if he had a child too.” Devon replied.

I returned the hair that was threatening to enter my eyes to the back and shook my head. “The maids told me that there was once a woman who forced her way to his bed when he was drunk and she got pregnant. She threatened him to take responsibility and he had no choice but to allow her into the Castle. It was that woman that gave birth to the baby girl but because she was a bad person that everyone hated and also because she cheated on Franklin, she was killed
