Bella’s POV

I had been avoiding Devon for days already and it was better than I thought. My life without his pestering was great and even though I was certain he would have found out about Kaden’s presence in the castle, I kept my son with me at all times. I made sure I never left him alone even when I wanted to treat Gabriel.

“Mum, I want ice cream.” Kaden’s sweet voice entered my ears and I smiled.

He had been asking for ice cream for a few hours already and I already sent someone to get it for me. I held his hand, pulled him close and carried him so he could sit on my lap. “Ice cream, right? Don’t worry. Someone already went to get it for you.” I replied and kissed his forehead.
