Chapter 29. Revelation

Devon’s POV

I walked out of the room after making sure my father was asleep. I was worried about him and leaving him alone after he coughed so hard would only make me more worried about him.

Getting out of the room, I saw my beta waiting for me in front of the door and he greeted me the moment he saw me. “Alpha Devon.” He called and I raised a brow.

“Wait.” I raised a hand, stopping him from saying a word. “Get some maids to take care of my father. They should be in the room with him all the time except when the doctor is around to treat him. Some guards should be placed by the door too.” I ordered.

I had no idea what I was thinking or what came over my workers. It was like they neglected my father and I couldn’t help but ponder about what could have happened if I wasn’t in the room with him earlier.
