Walking down the stairs, I had a lot on my mind and I was very angry. I knew Devon only stayed with me because he had no choice and if he was permitted, he would have left me long ago. The fact that he didn't love me wasn't a myth to anyone and even though I wanted to deceive myself that he loved me, I knew better than anyone that he didn't.

However, I was ready to stay with him no matter what and it wasn't as if he ever asked for a break up. If I could endure it a little longer, I would soon become his wife and by then, everything would be alright.
