Draven’s POV
I watched Maeve sleep in my arms, her breathing steady and calm. After a few minutes, she stirred and slowly opened her blue eyes, which found mine.
“Draven.” Her weight shifted against my chest, and though her voice was faint, it carried unmistakable warmth. I brushed a stray damp lock from her forehead and pressed a soft kiss to her cheek.
“Shh…don’t say anything.” I tucked her hair behind her ear and asked gently, “How are you feeling?”
Her cheeks flushed as she buried her face in my chest. “Tired…and embarrassed. It’s so humiliating that the whole pack knows…about us.” She murmured into my skin.
I stifled a chuckle at her confession. Of course, everyone talked—still, I was far more concerned with her well-being than gossip. I pulled her closer, letting my arms wrap around her naked form.
“Any pain?” I asked, my voice low. She shook her head.
