Chapter 62
Draven’s POV
I didn’t know when I drifted off, but the instant I opened my eyes I understood I was dreaming. Something was terribly wrong: I was covered in blood—though it wasn’t mine. I wasn’t bleeding, not physically, but my heart felt as though it had been pierced.
The world around me was shrouded in darkness, the only light coming from slivers of moon that tracked my every step. Blood was everywhere, pooling on the ground beneath corpses of wolves and witches from my pack, alongside lifeless bodies belonging to others. Some bore the dragon mark of the Council army, while others displayed the symbol of the Eclipse Pack.
A war had clearly torn through my pack’s territory, and I had no idea why the Eclipse Pack soldiers were here.
