Lennox’s POV
“The prophesied one still lived!” Amelie exclaimed, her eyes shining with disbelief, confusion, and shock. Her lips twitched into a smile as the Council murmured around her. I paid no attention, my deep blue eyes fixed on the blood moon looming overhead.
Something was wrong. That couldn’t be happening. A blood moon meant Maeve was in dire peril, her magic bleeding outward. She couldn’t have done that—she didn’t even possess her childhood memories. From everything I had uncovered, both her wolf side and her witch powers remained locked.
