Draven’s POV
I still could hardly believe what I’d just seen. Maeve and Luther—that was something I didn’t want to accept, even though the harsh truth was staring me in the face. My heart pounded as I slowed my pace, no longer racing between the sluggish trees of the forest. I paused to rein in the fury that had been building over the last few days, a rage only intensifying with the crescent moon rising tomorrow night.
I drew in a deep breath, trying to steady the storm inside me, when I caught faint movement behind me. I whirled, ready to strike—only to lock eyes with Thea’s dark brown irises. My pulse quickened at the sight of her.
