I smiled at every pack member and guest in the grand hall. Standing in a corner, I wore one of Lady Elenore’s silken gowns—Elysia insisted she was the finest clothier in all North Central. The dress’s high neckline framed a modest opening that showed just enough of my décolletage to draw Draven’s mild protest. He’d argued it was too revealing, but the other girls defended me, and I loved it—especially how Elysia had tied my brown hair back into a neat ponytail.
