Aiden’s POV

Often, people think that anger is the worst possible emotion that can overcome you, I thought so too till this very night when I was overcome by another emotion, sadness. Sadness was worse, when sad you have no control over yourself, you do what your heart tells you, you let it lead, you let it control you.

When I murdered the guard I had assigned to Gabby, it was sadness. Sadness that my mate was gone, whisked away from under my nose. It was sadness that made me go on a rampage tearing down the castle and destroying everything in my way. She was gone, as I feared and now I was sad.

At first we had waited thinking she must have gone for a walk or something but after searching the castle and forest grounds severally tonight, she wasn’t found and there was nothing found. I was utterly convinced that she was gone, the sharp feeling in my chest had refused to go ever since I realized that she truly was gone.
