Chapter 74

Nate’s POV

It didn’t matter how many corridors we ran down or how many rooms we forced our way into, I couldn’t seem to find where they were holding Ember.

Rob and Crassus were experiencing the same pain as Brutus and I, so we knew that both Becky and Ember were in serious trouble, our search becoming more frantic the longer those crucial minutes ticked by.

We charged headlong into yet another corridor as our group split off again, the size of our group reducing each time we came to a fork and worked our way methodically down the rooms. This corridor seemed to hold a little more promise as far as discovering the whereabouts of our mates went though, as at the end of the corridor lay a staircase downwards, and something inside us screamed that we would find both Ember and Becky that way.
